As children grow, building relationships that meet them where they are can be challenging. School staff often feel frustrated as they navigate supporting students through life challenges without having the proper training or tools to support students holistically. In this interactive session, participants will explore the four types of attachment—secure, anxious, avoidant, and disorganized—and learn how to build a strong foundation for relationships with children through secure attachment. Through discussions and practical exercises, attendees will gain actionable tools and techniques to foster secure attachments. By the end of the session, participants will be able to confidently answer: What is a secure attachment, and how does it impact my relationship with children & youth? Attendees will leave empowered to create supportive, nurturing environments that promote positive developmental outcomes for youth.
