About me
In 2013 I graduated from the University of Louisville Kent School of Social Work with a Master of Science in Social Work. I carry a license as a master social worker, which I received in 2014. Since this time, much of my work has been with child protective services where I worked as a caseworker in the foster/adoption development unit, conservatorship, and family-based safety services units. I also briefly worked as a school social worker and therapist at a behavioral health hospital in both the acute inpatient unit and partial hospitalization program. My favorite part of working with CPS was the opportunities I got to develop training and presentations for foster and adoptive parents. This helped foster/adoptive parents strengthen their skills in parenting children who have experienced loss, grief, abuse, and neglect. I plan on finishing my work in taking the next step towards obtaining my clinical licensure (LCSW). I want to seek to expand my training and work in trauma, resiliency, and healing spaces.
